In the preceding year, the modular team at Upminster Containers, comprised of Lee, Alfie and Alex, embarked on a noteworthy journey to Slovenia and Austria, upon invitation from our regional Containex sales representative, Traian.
This voyage held the promise of strengthening trade relations and expanding horizons within the industry.
Over a span of two immersive days in Slovenia, the team gained exclusive access to the inner workings of the containex factory.
Witnessing the metamorphosis from raw timber and steel into meticulously finished modular cabins was an enlightening experience. They traversed the factory line, observing each intricate step of the production process. Additionally, they participated in a modular building course, which, despite their established expertise, provided them with fresh insights and techniques to enhance efficiency and proficiency.
Transitioning to Vienna, the team stepped into the realm of containex headquarters – a bastion of innovation and leadership. Here, they were introduced to the European sales team, esteemed directors, and even the Managing Director of containex graced them with an introduction. The incoming sales representative, Sam, was also welcomed as he prepared to take on Upminster Containers. This encounter bridged the past and future, culminating in a shared dinner with Traian, Sam, and Tony, another regional sales representative.
Traian expressed his perspective, saying, “Seeing how the units are being made, as well as getting to know one another better is the key to solidifying what is now more than a decade long relationship”.
Alfie added, “The trip was a definite turning point for our modular department. We gained insights into the modular construction process, and it’s revitalized our approach. Now, we’re ready to improve our modular processes, incorporating new knowledge to improve efficiency and effectiveness”.
